Ink-Jet as a tool for printing complex optoelectronic systems

The lesson will first review the characteristics of the Ink-Jet printing technology when used in association with functional materials. To help in appreciating the opportunities offered by multilayer deposition with orthogonal solvents, a photodetector structure will be described from the idea to the complete realization and characterization.  Thanks to the maturity also acquired in designing transistors, the lesson will end with a critical discussion on the possibilities of using InkJet printing for producing complex addressing architectures toward  large area active pixel imagers on various substrates.
