Nanostructured thin films for plastic electronics: from active to passive phases in real devices

The lecture will be centered on new classes of organic or hybrid materials used in plastic electronics for the development of organic thin film transistors, photovoltaic cells and biosensing systems. A special focus will be given to the important correlation between the structure of the thin films, both at the molecular and supramolecular level, and the relevant properties of the device components. Also, specific ways to process these systems by solution techniques are given with the pecular aim to maximize the device perfomance and to minimize the fabrication costs.
